How to Navigate the Product Information Pages

This page displays a list of questions which can help identify the type of Assistive Technology required. Find the ones that best identify your issues and click on that link.

On the pages that follow, images of assistive technology will be displayed. If an image has a caption “read more” beside it, then that item is available at the Neil Squire Solutions Lab or at one of the Associate Program sites (click for locations). Click on the “read more” link to get more information on the item, including the site location. If an item does not have the “read more” caption, then that item is not available at any of the sites.

Assistive Technology

Assistive technology is specialized equipment that enables people who are experiencing difficulty using standard equipment, or people who have a disability, to continue to operate a computer. Through the use of this assistive technology people can keep working, find new work, return to school, or enhance their leisure activities. The assistive technology in the Neil Squire Solutions lab includes:

• Alternative keyboards (such as adjustable and compact keyboards).
• Alternative mouse pointing devices (such as trackballs and head-operated mice).
• Height-adjustable workstations and other ergonomic seating and positioning alternatives.
• Voice recognition software.
• Accommodations for people experiencing difficulty reading the computer screen.
